Rev. Ross Kershaw has been our Pastor at Golden First United Methodist Church since August 1, 2000! With this year he and his wife, Janna, will begin their eleventh year We feel honored to have Ross and the talents and experiences that he brings to Golden First UMC! We continue to be presented with new perspectives, new challenges, and with new ways to grow as Christians! Ross previously served the following churches:

| Julia | A Real Estate Agent in Pueblo, CO, she is married to Ray, with one son: Raymond James (RJ). | |
| Teah | Is a Psychologist working for the State of Colorado in Pueblo. Married to Dale, with two children (Corbin and Hudson). | |
| Joel | Senior Pastor at Brighton United Methodist Church in Brighton, Colorado. Married to Abby, with two children (Jack and Paul). | |
| Joseph | Living in Fort Lupton and is employed with the Adams County Sheriffs Department. Married to LeAnne. | |
| Jared | Living in Pueblo, going to school. He and Amanda have one child (Eli). |
| Ross is "almost" a Colorado native (arriving at five years old) and was raised in Littleton. He is a 1970 graduate of Littleton High School and a 1974 graduate of Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. Ross initially taught junior high math following graduation from CSU, and might have remained a teacher indefinitely except for experiencing a call to the ministry on Christmas Eve 1975. Ross then attended Denver's Iliff School of Theology where he earned his Master of Divinity Degree in May 1980. He has taken numerous continuing education courses since. Ross and Janna are extremely active in World Wide Marriage Encounter, currently serving as the Executive Clergy Couple for the Rocky Mountain / Yellowstone Area (the states of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana). Click Here for the Marriage Encounter Engaged Encounter United Methodist website. Musically, Ross has many talents! His background includes piano, organ, keyboard, guitar, and voice! Ross' pastoral vision includes experience and support for both contemporary and traditional worship services. Christian education, youth, and music are also programs in which Ross brings extensive experience. Additionally, Ross and Janna share a passion for building and stregthening marriages, and through marriages, the church. And at Golden First UMC, Ross inherits two very strong service-oriented ministries which have great energy- outreach and missions! At an individual level, Ross is a people-person with a passion for helping others to explore and enrich their spiritual lives! |
