RECOGNITION OF OUR SIX LONGEST TIME MEMBERS
HERITAGE SUNDAY JULY 16, 2000 - 141 YEARS! |
| During our 2000 Heritage Sunday Worship service we recognized six members of the congregation- Evie Hampton, Winnie Perry, Genevieve Mose, Annie Haldi, Eva Pyle, and Mary Ann Kellogg- who have been members at Golden First UMC since 1940 or before! Evie, a Golden native, joined First UMC in 1926 at age twelve! Thus, the year 2000 marked 74 years that Evie has been a member of our congregation- the longest tenure of any of our nearly 450 members! Evie's husband John is also a longtime Golden First UMC member!
