DEDICATION OF PEACE POLES

Jesus said:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9

At the beginning of this year 2000 A.D., we dedicate our second Peace Pole at the entrance to our church buildings; and we rededicate ourselves to the way of peacemaking; to helping create the peace which God desires for all of God's children in all the world.

In doing this, we honor our pastor, Youngsook Kang, even as we are honored by her presence and work among us.

The two Peace Poles together form a "Peace Pole Gateway." Each time we pass through it, let us pray silently that we may live peaceably in all our relationships -- and work for peace which is the fruit of justice, rooted in faith, hope, and love.
