Dedication Sundays are special celebrations devoted to those
occasional
times when we get to dedicate a new church facility!
Golden's first brick-and-mortar Methodist Epis-
copal Church was built in 1869 at the corner
of 14th Street and Washington Avenue.
Our second church building was built
in 1903 at the same location. The
Education Building, built in 1954, was
a major addition to this church facility.
Golden's First Methodist Church quickly outgrew its sanctuary at
14th and Washington, however.
In 1962 the Golden Methodist Church moved to its current facility
at 15th Street and Ford Avenue.
