ABOUT DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY CLASSES Disciple Bible Study is a series of four unique and intensive Bible study classes. |

| Each Disciple Bible Study is from 34- to 32- weeks (nine months) in length! At Golden First UMC, Disciple is traditionally held on Tuesday evenings, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, from September through May. | |
| DISCIPLE: BECOMING DISCIPLES THROUGH BIBLE STUDY | |
| Disciple Red -- often called "Disciple I" -- is a 34-week introductory-level survey of the books of the Bible. Disciple Red starts with the Creation story (Genesis) and continues through most of the Old and New Covenants (Testaments). This class is designed to help participants become Biblically-nourished and committed to living as disciples of Jesus Christ! | |
| DISCIPLE: INTO THE WORD OF THE WORLD | |
| Disciple Green -- often referred to as "Disciple II" -- is a 32-week study of Genesis and Exodus in the Old Testament, and Luke through Acts in the New Testament. Disciple Green emphasizes 'coming to God' and 'going for God'. It also stresses being in the Word and in the world -- individually and corporately. Disciple Green is oriented towards graduates of Disciple Red. | |
| DISCIPLE: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE | |
| Disciple Blue -- often referred to as "Disciple III" -- is a 32-week study of The Prophets and The Letters of Paul. Disciple Blue challenges laity and clergy to disciplined Bible study that hopes to result in a ministering community of faith nourished by Scripture. Disciple Blue is structured for graduates of Disciple Red. | |
| DISCIPLE: UNDER THE TREE OF LIFE | |
| Disciple Yellow -- yes, "Disciple IV" -- is a 32-week study of Old Testament Writings as well as the Gospel of John, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, James, Jude and Revelation in the New Testament. Disciple Yellow continues to call clergy and laity to serious, disciplined Bible study designed to develop biblically nourished servant-leaders. Disciple Yellow is organized for graduates of Disciple Red. | |
