OUR EDUCATIONAL MISSION

Christian education is an ongoing, life-long process! At Golden First UMC, Christian education takes many forms: Sunday school, Bible studies, Bible school, Confirmation and New Members classes, and more. Christian education is also experiential -- it is at the heart of our varied Missions and Outreach Ministries. Even Worship is a time for great spiritual discernment and growth!	John Wesley's Quadrilateral The four guidelines used in our search for faith and its relation to daily life are: Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason. From this comes a program of Christian Education for persons of all ages.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT GOLDEN FIRST UMC: Bible School July 2008! Vacation Bible School (VBS) has long been a UMC tradition. Bible Studies Bible study is an important part of Christian discipleship. Disciple Bible Study Learn more about this series of four unique 32- to 34-week Bible Study classes. Confirmation Classes Confirmation classes are offered at Golden First UMC for 6th grade (or older) youth. New Members Class aka UMC 101 A class for new members is held on a regular basis.
