2010 LENTEN STUDY SERIES Beginning on Sunday, February 21st we will present a Lenten Study Series entitled, "24 Hours that Changed the World". It is based on the Book by Adam Hamilton.The series format is a light supper at 6:00 PM and the Study begins at 6:30. We are done by 7:30.The series will run February 21 & 28, March 7, 14, 21 & 28.Come and be blessed by this amazing study.
The dinner and Study will be in the Fellowship Hall.
S.T.E.P.S. Children's Education
February is exploring "Jesus as a Child"
based on Luke 2:21-52
Come experience the food of Jesus' day, the music he would have grown up with, and some of the clothing Jesus with which he would have been familiar.
WORSHIP at First UMC of Golden Our worship times are 8:30 AM and 11:00 Am on Sundays. The 8:30 service is led by our Praise Band in a relaxed style. The 11:00 is led by our Chancel Choir and organ.
EDUCATION for Everyone! From toddlers through the oldest adult, we have classes for everyone. Three ongoing adult classes provide the backbone of our Adult Education. S.T.E.P.S. (Stories Told, Experienced, Practiced and Shared) is a rotation model children's education that meets a variety of learning styles with foundational learning for the Christian life.
DONATE TO HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF THROUGH UMCOR (The United Methodist Committee on Relief) 100% of all gifts go directly to Haiti. The American Institute of Philanthropy rates more than five hundred charities on how much of and how quickly their revenue is used for the charitable purposes. UMCOR is one of only 23 of those charities that get the highest grade of A+. A good reason to give money to UMCOR for international disaster relief.
